Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Step Down/PCU unit position requiring NJ or compact RN license and prior stepdown/telemetry experience.

Details

• Work in the Step Down/PCU unit of a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment on night shift (3x12 hours, 7p-7a)
• Every other weekend required (Fri, Sat, Sun)
• 1 holiday coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to like units within scope of practice
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator management, and ABG interpretation preferred
• Experience with neuro/psych conditions such as CVA, TBI, and seizure disorders preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to stepdown/PCU-level patients requiring close monitoring
• Must reside within 50 miles for local candidate consideration at applicable rate
