Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical position requiring 2 years of med/surg and short stay experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

• Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:30-07:00)
• 13-week assignment
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU units
• Meditech charting system preferred
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Must work 3 out of 5 winter holidays

Requirements

• ,
• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications required)
• 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/surg and short stay experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Nursys verification required

• Provide direct patient care on a medical surgical unit within a newly built facility with a supportive, team-oriented culture
• First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
• Travel pairs accepted on a case-by-case basis
• Facility housing available
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, and a positive result results in automatic cancellation
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• Located in Kerrville, Texas, known as Texas wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
• RTO requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be factored into overall contract length
