Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Short term acute care hospital with 69 staffed beds
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 0900-1730
• Weekend rotation required every 6th full weekend, shift 0730-1600
• Floating between two facility campuses within the same service line may be required
• EPIC charting system used, experience preferred

Requirements

• Current state OT license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Adult care experience required
• Experience with adaptive equipment required
• Experience treating hip fracture, total hip replacement, and total knee replacement/injuries required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include lifting and transfers, patient and family education, safety and injury prevention, telephone communication, and documentation
• Dress code requires black or scrub top with tan pants or scrub pants
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of assignment
• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
• Standard travelers may work up to an 18-month period, followed by a required 3-month break in service
• Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any facility within this health system as a traveler
