Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment requiring an active AK RN license in hand and at least 2 years of OR experience.
Details
- Operating Room department within an acute care hospital setting
- Level II Trauma Magnet facility recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
- 3x12 day shifts with start times of either 0645-1915 or 0900-2130
- Weekend work required
- On-call limited to coverage for call-offs only
- May float to like units within the facility or affiliate hospitals as needed
- Uses Epic charting system
- 1:1 patient ratio
Requirements
- Active AK RN license required in hand for consideration
- BLS certification required
- ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
Additional Information
- Scrubs provided by facility
- Free parking available
- Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Local candidates not accepted
- First-time travelers not accepted for this position
- Former Providence permanent staff must wait a minimum of 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may work a maximum of 1 calendar year on assignment before requiring a 6-month break to return to the same facility
- RTO must be submitted at time of application and is approved on an individual basis upon offer
