Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a TX or compact license and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a hospital setting
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call required on weekdays and weekends, approximately 10-12 days per schedule
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact license in hand required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- AHA certification preferred; ARC not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency in IR procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, and vascular closure systems
- Skilled in procedural sedation monitoring, ACT interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
- Experience with IV therapy including starting and maintaining IVs
- State-issued ID required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of vascular, neurological, pulmonary, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal interventional procedures
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation and emergency medications
- Utilize radiation and laser safety protocols
- Manage ventilator support and sheath removal/monitoring as needed
- Local candidates residing within 90 miles are accepted at a lower bill rate
- RTO requests limited to 5 non-consecutive days, subject to management approval prior to contract signing
- Only one holiday RTO request may be approved during the November through January holiday season
