Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT MR certification for an acute care hospital setting.

Details

• Hospital-based MRI department serving adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, and ER/trauma patient populations
• Performs a wide range of MRI procedures including abdomen/pelvis, MRA/MRV studies, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiac MRI
• Utilizes Siemens MRI equipment
• 3x12 hour day shifts, Friday-Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Call requirement
• May float to other units and campuses within the health system based on census needs, limited to qualified competencies

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
• ARRT MR certification and BLS required
• License required if applicable
• 1+ year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with special imaging techniques such as MIP, MPR, perfusion, surface coils, and T1/T2 weighted imaging preferred
• Experience with MR cardiac imaging with/without contrast preferred

Additional Information

• Perform MRI imaging studies across abdominal, neurological, spinal, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular specialties
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Orientation occurs weekly
• Radius eligibility rules apply based on distance from facility
