Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility position requiring a SD or compact RN license and BSN.
Details
- Work in a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility (LTC/SNF) unit within a post-acute care setting
- Current census of 42 with nurse-to-patient ratios varying from 1:21 up to 1:42
- Patient population consists of elderly residents with multiple diagnoses
- Uses Point Click Care (PCC) as the EMR system
- 13-week assignment with a 36-hour weekly commitment
- Day shift scheduling with both 8-hour and 12-hour shift options available
- Shift hours run from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
- No on-call or call-back responsibilities
Requirements
- Active RN license (SD state or Compact) required
- BSN required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide skilled nursing care to elderly residents with multiple diagnoses in a post-acute setting
- Facility-specific orientation includes 1 day of general orientation followed by up to 3 days on the floor with staff
- Must reside within an 80-mile radius of the facility or utilize facility housing to qualify for full travel rate
- Local candidates within the radius are accepted at a reduced rate
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
