Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN requiring an active MA RN license and 5+ years of nursing experience for a 13-week assignment at a high-volume cardiac catheterization lab.
Details
- Work in a hospital Cath Lab with 7 procedure rooms and a hybrid OR, all upgraded within the past 1-5 years
- Unit includes a 12-bay peri-procedural space for patient prep and recovery
- Lab averages over 30 cases per day, ranging from outpatient RHC and stable coronary angiograms to complex coronary, structural, and vascular interventions
- Uses Epic as the primary charting system and the Siemens Sensis system for hemodynamic measurements
- Schedule options include 3x12-hour or 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
- Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call possible, with no weekend or holiday shifts worked
- Contract may include 1-2 weeknight call shifts and possibly 1 weekend call (not guaranteed) over 13 weeks
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience required
- 2+ years of ICU experience preferred
- 1+ years of experience as a Cath Lab RN preferred
- Epic EMR charting experience required
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
Additional Information
- Serve as a critical member of the patient care team, collaborating with care team members to ensure continuity of care
- Promote patient/family-focused care in all interactions with patients, families, and hospital personnel
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred but not required
- First-time travelers may be considered
- Local candidates permanently residing within 60 miles of the facility are accepted at a reduced rate
