Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and adult/pediatric expertise for an outpatient and inpatient Heart and Vascular Institute setting.
Details
- Work in an 11-room imaging clinic within the Heart and Vascular Institute
- Adult and pediatric patient population
- Perform routine scans (complete/limited), 2D measurements, strain imaging, TEE, and stress echo
- Average of 8 outpatient and 6-8 inpatient patients per day
- Uses Philips Cv-x and 7C equipment
- EPIC EMR
- 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- Float between clinic and hospital settings
- Call coverage in the hospital required 6 nights per month
- Weekend call rotation occurs every 6-7 weeks
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
- AAS degree required
- BLS certification required
- ARDMS or CCI-RCS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Adult and pediatric echocardiography experience required
Additional Information
- Supported by a team including a Patient Service Rep, RNs, 17 additional sonographers, 14 cardiologists, and a Clinical Informaticist
- 5-day orientation provided
- Holiday coverage is part of the weekend/call rotation
- Time off requires manager approval
- Black scrubs required
- Free parking available
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility
- Permanent staff must wait one full year before returning as a traveler
