Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Rehab (IRF) night shift position at an inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital in Sacramento, CA, requiring an active CA RN license and rehab or inpatient experience.
Details
- Work in the Rehab Nursing IRF unit of a 52-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital with all private rooms and a current census of 35
- Care for patients with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, stroke, amputations, and complex wound care needs
- Patient population is adults 18+, including isolation patients and those requiring restraints
- Average patient stay is approximately 12 days
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Uses Cerner EHR system
- Night shift schedule from 7:15 PM to 6:45 AM
- 36 guaranteed weekly hours
- Weekend rotation required every other weekend
- No float requirements
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 6 months of rehab or inpatient setting experience required
- 2 years of experience preferred
- Must wear closed-toed shoes and maintain short nails with no acrylics
- Navy blue scrubs preferred for RNs, though not mandatory
Additional Information
- Provide specialized rehabilitation nursing care to patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
- Support patients through intensive, individualized rehabilitation programs aimed at maximizing health, function, and quality of life
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel assignment
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates must not be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
