Description
American Traveler is hiring a Rehab RN for an inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital, requiring CA RN licensure and BLS certification.
Details
- Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with 52 private beds and a current census of 35 patients
- Rehab nursing unit specializing in stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic trauma care
- Patient population includes adults 18+ with tracheostomies, wounds, isolation precautions, and restraint needs, with an average 12-day patient stay
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Uses Cerner EHR system
- Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
- 36 guaranteed weekly hours
- Requires working every other weekend
- No floating or on-call requirements
Requirements
- Basls Life Support (BLS) certification required through AHA
- Active CA RN license required
- Minimum 6 months of rehab or inpatient nursing experience required
- 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Closed-toed shoes required
- Short, non-acrylic nails required
Additional Information
- Provide specialized rehabilitation nursing care to patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic trauma
- Deliver comprehensive wound care and manage patients with tracheostomies and isolation precautions
- Navy blue scrubs preferred for RNs though not mandatory
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel assignment
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full-time
