Description
American Traveler is hiring a Rad Tech for a hospital's Medical Imaging - X-Ray department, requiring OR experience and ARRT certification, with first-time travelers considered.
Details
- Work within the Medical Imaging - X-Ray unit, spending the majority of time in the OR
- Care for outpatient, inpatient, ED, OR, NICU, and pediatric patients, including vented and sedated cases
- Perform whole body, musculoskeletal, neuro, and portable imaging exams
- No fluoroscopy procedures required (no lumbar punctures or GI studies)
- Average of 15-20 patients per day
- Utilize Carestream portables, GE imaging rooms, and GE C-arm equipment
- EMR includes EPIC (preferred) and Sectra
- 40 hour variable schedule with varied shifts as needed
- Weekend rotation and holiday expectations discussed during interview
- Rare on-call requirements, schedule discussed during interview
- No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required, 3 years preferred
- Must have OR experience
- BLS and ARRT certification required
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) credential through ARRT required
- License required if applicable
- Level 1 or 2 Trauma experience preferred
- C-arm experience required
- EPIC experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered
- One week of facility and unit orientation provided
- Blue OR procedural scrubs provided
- Free parking available
- Time off requests require approval
- Candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility
