Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CCU/ICU night shift position requiring strong cardiac care background and prior travel assignment experience.
Details
- Acute care setting in the CCU (Cardiac Care Unit), classified as an ICU
- Cares for cardiac intervention patients, including cath lab procedures, STEMIs, and post-code patients
- May also care for patients post-interventional radiology procedures
- Unit may occasionally receive overflow Medical/Surgical ICU patients when no other ICU beds are available
- Uses MEDITECH as the charting system/EMR
- Night shift schedule, 7p-7a
- 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 24-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA)
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required
- Strong background in cardiac procedures and ICU-level care required
- BSN not required for this position
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to cardiac and post-procedural patients in a fast-paced ICU environment
- 16 hours of orientation provided
- Cancellation policy allows for 12 hours every 2 weeks
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for placement
- Not eligible for placement if previously employed by the facility within the last 12 months
