Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) with 1+ years experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level 3 Trauma and Level 1 NICU facility.

Details

• Work in the Respiratory Therapy department of a 154-bed hospital serving Northeast TX and Southeast OK
• Facility is a Level 3 Trauma Center and Level 1 NICU
• Joint Commission Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Advanced Primary Stroke Care Center
• Patient population includes all ages
• Common diagnoses/treatments include ICU care, ventilator management, blood gases, A-line draws, EKGs, basic respiratory care, trach patients, weaning trials, and oxygen therapy
• Uses Servo I and Carescape ventilators, V60 BiPAPs, and standard nebulizers
• Meditech EHR system
• Shift hours are 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend or as needed
• On-call requirements as needed
• Floating requirements as needed

Requirements

• RRT or CRT credential required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS
• Certification/licensure required to work as a Respiratory Therapist in Texas
• AHA certifications required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active licensure required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care across ICU and general patient populations including ventilator management and trach care
• Work under the supervision of the Manager of Respiratory and Sleep Lab
• Professional demeanor expected on the unit
• Ceil blue scrubs required; casual attire not accepted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a local rate
• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time during the assignment
