Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 1 year of specialty experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Inpatient Rehab unit within a hospital setting, 15-bed capacity
• Day shift 7A-7P schedule over a 13-week assignment
• Patient ratios of 5:1, up to 6:1 maximum
• Uses vital signs machines, transfer equipment (Hoyer lift, sliding boards), EKG, and bladder scanner
• Charts in Meditech and uses Pyxis for medication dispensing
• Floating required to Med-Surg, Tele, Renal, Urology, Orthopedic, and Overflow units between Bay Area and DRMC hospitals, excluding ICU
• Required to work every other weekend and holidays
• On-call is infrequent, only during periods of low hospital census

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Inpatient Rehab experience required
• Transfer training and EMR proficiency required
• Rehab experience and rehab scoring documentation experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform patient transfers, bladder scans, dressing changes, and medication administration
• Participate in bedside report/handoff, hourly rounding, and bed alarm activation protocols
• Team-oriented environment with an emphasis on initiative and collaboration
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates will be considered
