Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel Occupational Therapist for a Level II trauma center hospital, requiring acute care experience and Texas OT licensure.

Details

Acute care hospital setting within a 205-bed Level II trauma center
Occupational Therapy department with a team of 12 OTs and 20 PTs
Day shift schedule, Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30/5:00 PM
13-week assignment
Caseload of approximately 12 patients per day
Standard rehabilitation equipment used
Meditech EMR system
Floating required to cover all areas of the hospital
Weekend coverage required, including one Saturday or Sunday shift per week

Requirements

Active OT license in the state of Texas required if applicable
Minimum 1 year of experience required
Acute care experience required, including clinical rotations during school
Experience with complex trauma and complex neuro patients preferred
High level of accountability and ability to work autonomously

Additional Information

Focus on standard mobility and ADL-based interventions
Work within a Level II trauma center environment
Hunter green scrub color required
First-time travelers may be considered
