Description

American Traveler is looking for an Outpatient Physical Therapist for a 26-week clinic assignment with a caseload focused 50% on aquatic therapy.

• Outpatient clinic setting focused on adult orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation
• 50% of caseload involves aquatic-based physical therapy
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 26-week assignment length

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent from an accredited program required
• Current Alaska PT license or eligibility for licensure required, if applicable
• Experience or strong interest in aquatic therapy strongly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with children and families

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering hands-on aquatic and land-based therapy
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and families on exercises, injury prevention, and wellness strategies
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Ability to create engaging, fun therapy sessions while maintaining therapeutic goals
