Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital setting requiring trauma level 1/2 or inpatient rehab experience and Texas PT licensure.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within a Level II trauma center with 205 beds
- Physical Therapy department staffed with 20 PTs and 12 OTs
- Day shift schedule, Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Patient ratio of approximately 12 patients per day
- Uses Meditech EMR system
- Focus on standard mobility and ADL treatment procedures
- Uses standard rehab service equipment
- Will float to cover all areas of the hospital
- Requires coverage of one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) every week during the contract
Requirements
- Active PT or OT license in the state of Texas required, if applicable
- Acute care experience required, including clinical rotations completed during school
- Trauma Level 1 or 2 experience, or inpatient rehab experience required
- Experience with complex trauma and complex neuro patients preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- High level of accountability and autonomous working ability required
Additional Information
- Main responsibilities include mobility assessments and ADL-focused treatment
- Required to float and cover all areas of the hospital as needed
- Hunter green scrub attire required
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
