Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC certification and acute ER experience.

Details

• Work in a 28-bed Emergency Department on the 1st floor of the North Tower
• Unit staffed with a Charge RN, 10 RNs, 2-3 Techs, and a Unit Secretary per shift
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment
• Required to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute ER experience required
• Trauma experience preferred
• Experience with procedures such as IV starts, blood draws, resuscitation, and EKG
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a wide range of acute and trauma patients
• Perform procedures including IV starts, blood draws, resuscitation, and EKGs
• Royal Blue scrub color required

• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the position
