Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring acute ER experience and TNCC, PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications.

• Work in a 28-bed Emergency Department on the 1st floor of the North Tower
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Day shift team includes Charge RN, 10 RNs, 2-3 Techs, and 1 Unit Secretary
• Night shift team includes Charge RN, 10 RNs, 2-3 Techs, and 1 Unit Secretary
• Shift schedule is 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: TNCC, PALS, ACLS, and BLS
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute ER experience required
• Trauma experience preferred
• Experience with IV starts, blood draws, resuscitation, and EKG procedures
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care including IV starts, blood draws, resuscitation, and EKGs
• Royal Blue scrubs required
• Active, personable personality fit preferred
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
