Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for a Days travel assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and proficiency in TEE, stress echo, and echocardiogram studies.

Details

• Work in the Cardiopulmonary department performing echocardiography studies
• Perform TEE, stress echo, and echocardiogram procedures
• Expected caseload of 7-8 echos per day with 1.15 hours scheduled per study
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required approximately every 5 weeks
• Uses Epic EMR
• Subject to a 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer required
• License required if applicable
• BLS certification required (AHA certification must be completed before start if submitted with a non-AHA equivalent)
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Valid Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Perform cardiac ultrasound studies including transesophageal echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and standard echocardiograms
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) will be considered local, and local travelers are not eligible for renewal or extension of the assignment
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for the 13-week contract at the manager's discretion
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during the application process
• Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited on the unit
