Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Critical Access Hospital, requiring 1+ year of experience and covering Outpatient, Acute Care, and Long-Term Care settings.
Details
- Critical Access Hospital setting with 40 staffed beds
- Covers Outpatient, Acute Care, and Long Term Care/swing bed units
- Day shift, 5x8 hour schedule (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- No weekend requirements
- No call requirements
- 13-week assignment length
- Clinician will float within scope to meet facility needs across Outpatient, Acute Care, and LTC
- Open to accommodating a block schedule
- Epic EMR experience required
- Any scrub color accepted
Requirements
- Current AK Occupational Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required
- NBCOT certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
Additional Information
- Provide occupational therapy services across Outpatient, Acute Care, and Long Term Care/swing bed patient populations
- Skills include modalities and manual therapies such as biofeedback, cardiac rehabilitation, electrical stimulation, TENS, and ultrasound
- Experience with orthopedic conditions including arthritis, hand injuries, hip and knee replacements, and soft tissue injuries preferred
- Experience with prosthetics and orthotics including splinting techniques preferred
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted facility
- Returning staff who previously worked as permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be located outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidates' permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Facility provides housing for travelers during the assignment
- Housing is typically a 1-bedroom apartment, which may be shared with another traveler
- Pets are not allowed in facility-provided housing
- Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
