Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of interventional cardiac cath lab experience for a 13-week assignment.
Details
- Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting
- Support cardiologists, radiologists, and RNs during cath lab procedures
- Utilizes fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment
- 4x10 hour day shifts with start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- Rotating nights and weekend call required
Requirements
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required
- ACLS certification required
- RCES, CRT, RCIS, or ARRT (R) accepted
- License required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 years of interventional cath lab experience required
- Structural heart experience preferred
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including PCI, PTCA, TAVR, Watchman, left and right heart catheterizations, and vascular closure systems
- Skilled in EKG lead placement, access site prep, sterile field maintenance, and equipment set up
- Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
- Prior travel healthcare experience required
Additional Information
- Provide technical support and patient monitoring during interventional cardiac procedures under cardiologist supervision
- May mentor and train students
- Perform procedures such as ASD closures, stent placements, IABP and Impella insertion, ECMO, TAVR, and Watchman implants
- Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract with only 1 holiday request allowed per contract
- First-time travel candidates will be considered
