Description

American Traveler is hiring an Inpatient Rehab Occupational Therapist for a teaching rehabilitation hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and welcoming first-time travelers.

Details

Inpatient rehabilitation unit within a dedicated rehabilitation hospital
91 staffed beds in a teaching hospital setting
Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Patient ratio of 1:6
Requires floating between units
Weekend coverage required approximately 1 weekend per month
No on-call requirements
Epic EMR experience required
Scrubs of any color accepted across all units

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience required
Acute care OT experience preferred
BLS certification required
NBCOT certification required
Compact state license required in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
Epic charting system experience required
2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Full SSN and DOB required for compliance

Additional Information

First-time travelers will be considered for this position
Skilled in treating orthopedic conditions including hip and knee replacements, hand injuries, and soft tissue injuries
Experience with prosthetics and orthotics, including above/below knee prosthetics and dynamic/static splinting
Proficient in modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, TENS, biofeedback, and edema massage
Experience with cardiac rehabilitation and feeding techniques
Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
All RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not apply within 50 miles of their former facility
Local candidates within 50 miles may be accepted at a lower bill rate
Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem roles
