Description

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist with 1+ year experience to provide in-home rehabilitation services across Vermont and New Hampshire.

• Home health setting covering more than 70 towns across Vermont and New Hampshire
• Full-time, day shift schedule
• Average patient visits exceed 60 minutes, allowing for meaningful, individualized therapy
• Work as part of a cohesive interdisciplinary patient-care team

Requirements

• Current, active Occupational Therapist license in Vermont and New Hampshire or an unencumbered compact license (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• BS in Occupational Therapy or postgraduate Occupational Therapy Certification program required
• Must have passed the National Registration Exam
• BLS certification required
• Home health setting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Screen, evaluate, re-evaluate, and treat patients in their homes
• Assess patient functional ability and provide direct treatments
• Select and implement appropriate therapeutic modalities
• Communicate and coordinate treatment activities with interdisciplinary team members
• Document evaluations, treatment goals, and objectives
• Teach patients and family members the rationale for treatments and procedures
• Work with broad independence while supported by a dedicated care team
