Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and 18 months of specialty experience.

Details

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license required in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required, NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele specialty required
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with acceptable scores
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months required for consideration
• Background check and license history must be clear of any open cases or hits

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Assignments may be extended up to a maximum of 18 consecutive months, with a required 6-month break before returning unless otherwise approved
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Nurses are exempt from nicotine-free facility drug screening requirements
• Completion of pre-start and annual training modules required, with time varying by specialty
