Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an ICU position requiring 2 years of experience and a TN or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in a 16-bed ICU within a Trauma III hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 2:1
- Unit is supported by a dedicated tech
- Uses GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing systems, and Drager ventilators
- Documentation completed in Meditech
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Required to work every other weekend
- Floating required in rotation with full-time staff and other travelers
Requirements
- Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
- Experience with ventilator and sedation management required
- Experience with medication titration required
- Skilled in procedures such as trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including ventilator and sedation management
- Assist with trach placements, bronchoscopies, and cardioversions as needed
- Follow patient experience protocols including AIDET, communication board completion, and medication teaching
- Required to wear charcoal gray scrubs
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
