Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an ICU position requiring 2 years of experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 16-bed ICU within a Trauma III hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• Unit is supported by a dedicated tech
• Uses GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing systems, and Drager ventilators
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required in rotation with full-time staff and other travelers

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Experience with ventilator and sedation management required
• Experience with medication titration required
• Skilled in procedures such as trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including ventilator and sedation management
• Assist with trach placements, bronchoscopies, and cardioversions as needed
• Follow patient experience protocols including AIDET, communication board completion, and medication teaching
• Required to wear charcoal gray scrubs
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
