Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac ICU position requiring Level 1 trauma experience and expertise in advanced heart failure management.
Details
- Work in the Cardiac ICU (CCU) of a hospital setting
- 16-bed unit with a census of 16 patients
- Clinician to patient ratio of 1:2
- Care for patients with multisystem failure, advanced heart failure, and fresh post-op cardiac surgical patients
- Support patients on mechanical circulatory support devices such as Impella, durable VAD, ECMO, and IABP
- 36 hours per week on a day/night rotating schedule
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required, no conditional or pending licenses accepted
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
- 2+ years of Level 1 trauma ICU experience required
- Experience with mechanical circulatory support (MCS) highly preferred
- Expertise in advanced heart failure management required
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- Primary source verification of license required within 30 days of start date
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to complex cardiac patients requiring mechanical circulatory support and post-surgical monitoring
- Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Local candidates permitted with permanent residence within 60 miles of Boston
