Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with ARRT registration and vascular surgery experience for a 13-week assignment in a clinical setting serving adolescent and adult patients.
Details
- Work within the Interventional Radiology department serving adolescent and adult patients
- 13-week assignment with 4x10 hour shifts
- Shift start times of 7:30 AM or 8:30 AM depending on call rotation
- Flexibility to work holidays as needed
- Call required from 7 PM to 7 AM, including one weekday call each week and one weekend call per month
- Produces high quality diagnostic images meeting departmental standards
- Uses EPIC for charting
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Interventional Radiology required
- Experience in Body, Neuro, and Vascular Surgery procedures required
- Previous scrub case experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or registry eligible with certification obtained before start date
- Current ARRT R.T.(R) registration required
- ARRT registration in Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) required within 18 months of start date, though current VI certification is strongly preferred
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Active license required, if applicable
- Experience within a sterile environment and aseptic technique preferred
- Associate's degree preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills required
- Must be flexible to work varied hours, shift lengths, and locations
Additional Information
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for Radiology and assigned Operating Room areas
- Practice safety guidelines for patients, support personnel, and self
- Foster teamwork through effective communication
- Maintain flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times, and lengths
- Respond to on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends
- Facility may call off or cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment due to low census
- On-site position with no teleworking option
