Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital position requiring 2+ years of experience and current OT and BLS certification.
Details
- Work in the Acute Rehab department of an acute care hospital
- Evaluate and treat patients with primary focus in Acute Rehab
- Availability to float to Acute Inpatient units when census requires
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Requirements
- Current OT-Occupational Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program, or equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree
Additional Information
- Assess, plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy programs for patients recovering from illness, injury, or psychological/developmental conditions
- Complete and document patient evaluations, plans of care, and treatment progression per established standards
- Coordinate care effectively with other providers and support team members
- Provide clinical supervision to assistants and aides and serve as clinical instructor for assigned students
- Perform documentation duties including charting in the electronic health record and charge capture
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment including proper equipment cleaning and disinfection
- Participate in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient health information
- Accepts local candidates at local rate
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for the travel rate
- Returning employees/travelers must have a minimum 1-year separation before returning
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Compliance documentation, including labs, must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing
- 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
- Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
