Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist with ARDMS RDMS-OB certification and general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound skills for a Trauma II acute care hospital setting.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 90 staffed beds and Trauma II designation
• Adult, ER, ICU, NICU, Peds, High Risk OB, and portable ultrasound work settings
• Average daily census of 24
• Day shift schedule, 4x9 hours, Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM-4:30 PM
• Rotating on-call required, including holiday coverage
• No weekend requirement
• Utilizes PACS system, with Philips and Trophon equipment experience preferred
• Charting completed in Epic
• May float within facility or nearby affiliated facilities based on census/volume

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required, 3 years preferred
• ARDMS certification required, with RDMS-OB required or registry required within 12 months of hire (first attempt within 6 months)
• ARDMS (AB, OB/GYN, or VT) or ARRT (S) required at time of hire
• BLS certification required
• ARRT and RDCS certifications preferred
• General ultrasound, OB/GYN, neonatal, and vascular skills required
• Experience with adult, ER, ICU, NICU, Peds, High Risk OB, and portable ultrasound settings required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform general ultrasound studies including abdominal aorta, appendix, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and pediatric abdomen/pelvis imaging
• Conduct OB/GYN studies across all trimesters including amniotic fluid index and placenta previa assessments
• Perform vascular studies including carotid, arterial/venous extremity studies, and duplex/doppler imaging
• Perform renal/pelvis and small parts imaging including bladder, uterus, thyroid, and testicular studies
• Conduct neonatal imaging of head, heart, and spine
• Caribbean blue scrub color required
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Locals accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction
• Time off requests exceeding 7 days require assignment extension by equivalent time
• RTO restrictions determined at manager's discretion
• Returning clinicians must have a 1-year separation from the facility before being eligible to return
• Up to 8 hours of pre-start training modules required within 1 week of signing
