Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring a KS and MO or compact RN license along with AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Details
- Float pool position within a pediatric critical care setting
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 (7p-7a) or 4x12 shift options
- Floating required between the main campus and a sister hospital in Overland Park, KS, located approximately 12 miles away
- Located at a smoke-free and nicotine-free campus
Requirements
- Active RN license required at time of consideration; both a Kansas license and a Missouri or compact license are required
- Those contracted for the main campus may begin with a Kansas license pending, provided documentation confirms it has been applied for
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required; RQI certifications are not accepted
- Current AHA PALS certification required
- Must pass a medication/dosage competency test with 100% accuracy within the first week, with up to three attempts allowed
- Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
- Two professional references from a supervisor-level or higher required, completed within the last 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing support to pediatric patients across multiple hospital campuses
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates undergo nicotine testing as part of the hospital's nicotine-free campus policy
