Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a Level II Trauma facility requiring CA RN license, ACLS/BLS certification, and at least 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit of an acute care hospital with 277 staffed beds
• Level II Trauma facility setting
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating between like units required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications required: ACLS and BLS (NIHSS preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Level II Trauma experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, and PICC line management
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, ETT/NT suctioning, and care of ventilated patients required
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and interpreting cardiac rhythms required
• Experience with emergency medications, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips required
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including those with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• May float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO must be submitted at time of application for consideration
• Scrub color for RNs is royal blue or navy blue
• Free parking available on-site
• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel contractor and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
