Description
American Traveler is hiring a Level III NICU RN for a night-shift assignment requiring active CA RN license and at least 3 years of Level III NICU experience.
Details
- Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of an acute care hospital
- Level III NICU caring for neonates 29-34 weeks gestation
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Attend high risk deliveries
- Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
- Weekend shifts required
- On-call responsibilities required
- Floating between sister facilities within the health system may be required
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- 3 years of Level III NICU experience required
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, central line blood draws, and UAC/UVC required
- Experience with neonatal medication administration including antibiotics, steroids, and surfactants
- Experience with respiratory support including Bubble CPAP, HFNC, and oxygen delivery systems
- Experience with APGAR scoring, developmental care, and thermoregulation
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive neonatal intensive care including respiratory, GI, and infectious disease management
- Support patient and family teaching, breastfeeding support, and phototherapy for hyperbilirubinemia
- Facility scrub color requirement: Royal Blue or Navy Blue for RNs
- Free parking available onsite
- First time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application, as post-submission RTO requests may not be granted
- Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
