Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment at a Level II Trauma acute care hospital, requiring a CA RN license and Trauma II ICU experience.
Details
- Work in the ICU of an acute care hospital with 277 staffed beds
- Level II Trauma facility setting
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 17:00-05:30)
- Required to work every other weekend
- Floating between like units required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skills in IV therapy, central line care, arterial line management, and blood product administration required
- Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure care required
- Experience managing patients with dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction required
- Skilled in obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG
- Experience with IV insulin protocols and titrating cardiac/vasoactive drips required
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including cardiovascular, neurological, respiratory, and renal cases
- May float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Scrub color requirement: royal blue or navy blue for RNs
- Free parking available onsite
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius to be eligible for local rates
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they do not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
