Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric ICU position at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma children's hospital, requiring at least 1 year of PICU and traveler experience.
Details
- Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) at a children's hospital
- 13-week contract assignment
- Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM), 36 hours per week
- Floating required between the main campus and a sister hospital located in Overland Park, KS
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Facility is a Magnet-designated, Teaching, Level I Trauma Center with a Level IV NICU
- Total of 390 staffed beds
- Kid-friendly scrub colors or patterns permitted
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required
- Active KS RN license required, or documentation of application in progress if starting on the main campus
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA-issued only; RQI certifications not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of Pediatric ICU experience required
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as a traveler required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Experience with care of ventilated patients required
- Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
- Experience with ICP monitoring and neurologic/cardiovascular care required
- Epic charting experience required
- Two professional references from a supervisor level or higher, completed within the last 12 months, required for consideration
- Date of birth and social security number required for consideration

- Pass/fail medication and dosage test administered during the first week, requiring a 100% passing score with up to three attempts
