Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric ICU position at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma children's hospital, requiring at least 1 year of PICU and traveler experience.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) at a children's hospital
• 13-week contract assignment
• Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM), 36 hours per week
• Floating required between the main campus and a sister hospital located in Overland Park, KS
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Facility is a Magnet-designated, Teaching, Level I Trauma Center with a Level IV NICU
• Total of 390 staffed beds
• Kid-friendly scrub colors or patterns permitted

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Active KS RN license required, or documentation of application in progress if starting on the main campus
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA-issued only; RQI certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Pediatric ICU experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience working as a traveler required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Experience with care of ventilated patients required
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Experience with ICP monitoring and neurologic/cardiovascular care required
• Epic charting experience required
• Two professional references from a supervisor level or higher, completed within the last 12 months, required for consideration
• Date of birth and social security number required for consideration
