Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of ER experience and multiple specialty certifications.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital
• Night shift, 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• 14-week assignment length
• Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, ENPC
• Trauma Level I experience preferred but not required
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Experience with care of ventilated patients and continuous IV sedation preferred
• Triage skills preferred
• At least 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency department nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias
• First-time travelers will only be considered if they have Level I trauma ER experience
• Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Requests for RTO longer than 1 week are not approved except under special circumstances, and all RTO must be disclosed at the time of consideration
• Former staff must have been separated from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• Any active licensure hits will result in disqualification from consideration
