Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of ER experience and multiple specialty certifications.
Details
- Emergency Department setting within a hospital
- Night shift, 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- 14-week assignment length
- Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
- Preferred certifications: CPI, ENPC
- Trauma Level I experience preferred but not required
- Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
- Experience with care of ventilated patients and continuous IV sedation preferred
- Triage skills preferred
- At least 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide emergency department nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias
- First-time travelers will only be considered if they have Level I trauma ER experience
- Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Requests for RTO longer than 1 week are not approved except under special circumstances, and all RTO must be disclosed at the time of consideration
- Former staff must have been separated from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
- Any active licensure hits will result in disqualification from consideration
