Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring fetal monitoring certification and NRP, ACLS, and BLS credentials.
Details
- Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit
- 13-week travel assignment
- Full time day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
- Current NRP certification required
- Current certification required in either AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
- 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery preferred
- BSN preferred
- Perinatal RN Residency or recent Perinatal Services experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for L&D patients
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided
- Address patients' and families' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs
- Provide patient and family education, identifying learning needs and available resources
- Newly hired RNs attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days and complete organizational and Perinatal Services-specific competency validations
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the travel rate
- Previous CHRISTUS Health employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment at any CHRISTUS facility
