Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience in a Trauma Level I setting to support a busy IR department.
Details
- Interventional Radiology department in a hospital setting
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call requirement for nights and weekends
- May be required to float between departments, units, and facilities as needed
- Uses EPIC charting system
- Uses Siemens equipment
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent specialty experience required, with no employment gaps greater than 90 days in the past year
- BLS and ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (VI) preferred
- License required if applicable
- Both Kansas and Missouri licensure or a compact license required in hand
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- Proficient in interventional radiology procedures including adrenal angiography, angioplasty, embolization, carotid angiography, stent placement, central venous access/port placement, dialysis graft interventions, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and upper/lower extremity angiography
- Skilled in equipment setup, access site preparation, and room circulator duties
- Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and sterile technique
- Experience maintaining equipment, inventory, and PACS systems
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing special procedures, stocking supplies, and maintaining a sterile, well-equipped IR suite
- First-time travelers are accepted for this role
- Maximum RTO of 7 days
- Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered
- Returning staff must have at least an 18-month gap with a 3-month break in service; former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
