Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Rehab RN with 2+ years of experience and telemetry interpretation skills for a 13-week community hospital assignment.

Details

• Work in the Rehab unit of a community hospital setting, specializing in Cardiac Rehab
• Care for patients with angina, hypertension, post cardiac surgery, post MI, and post vascular surgery conditions
• Perform on-unit telemetry monitoring
• 13-week contract assignment
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Floating required in rotation with staff, in accordance with facility floating policies and clinical experience
• Facility utilizes block scheduling with self-scheduling, subject to change if staffing gaps need to be filled

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) required in-hand prior to start
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA preferred)
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac arrest and dysrhythmias
• Skilled in blood glucose monitoring, diabetic teaching, fall risk assessment/prevention, infection prevention, pain assessment and management, and patient teaching
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive cardiac rehab nursing care including monitoring, patient teaching, and dysrhythmia management
• Expect to work some holidays
• Requests for time off should be submitted with initial application; minimal RTO preferred during the first weeks of the assignment
