Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and NIH Stroke certification.

Details

• 14-bed ICU unit within a hospital setting also covering a 20-bed Med/Surg unit
• Patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU and 1:5 in Med/Surg
• Unit supported by 1 PCA and 1 UC
• Night shift, 7p-7:30a, with rotating every other weekend requirement
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed per facility floating policy
• Uses Meditech documentation system
• Standard ICU equipment used

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact license required; temporary licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Experience with vasopressors required
• Meditech experience preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients
• Navy scrub top and pants required, with navy or white scrub jacket
• Clean, neatly trimmed hair and facial hair required; visible piercings other than ears prohibited
• Body art should be covered when feasible
• Described as an awesome, cohesive unit
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
