Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a SICU position requiring an active Ohio or compact RN license and 18 months of recent SICU experience.

Details

• Work in the SICU at a hospital environment
• Rotating day/night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:30 PM or 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Shifts may be adjusted to meet operational needs of the hospital
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• 18 months of combined permanent experience in SICU required
• 18 months of recent SICU experience required, travel experience accepted
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services in a surgical intensive care unit
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation with a passing score required
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
• Permanent and per diem employees must wait 1 year from their previous end date before returning to this health system
• Assignments may extend up to 18 consecutive months, with a required 6-month break before returning unless otherwise approved
