Description

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with 2+ years of vascular sonography experience and ARDMS RVT certification for a day-shift assignment.

Details

• Full-time vascular ultrasound practice within a heart and vascular outpatient setting
• Patient population includes true vascular cases such as venous disorders, swelling, dialysis access, and port placements
• Target patient ratio of 1:5 with an average daily census of 6-9 patients
• Procedures include mesenteric duplex, AIC, CDUS, AAA, and ABI studies
• Uses Philips ultrasound machines and Picom imaging software
• EPIC used for documentation
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM
• 6-8 week contract lengths accepted
• No call, float, or weekend requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of vascular ultrasound experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• ARDMS and ARDMS RVT certification required
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with abdominal aorta, renal/bladder, arterial graft studies, arterial mapping, carotid, color flow, dialysis grafts, doppler studies, duplex, lower extremity arterial/venous, m-mode, peripheral vascular resistance, renal artery duplex, stents, transcranial doppler, and upper extremity arterial/venous studies
• Experience working with adult patient population
• Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform vascular ultrasound studies including mesenteric, AAA, ABI, and carotid duplex exams for adult patients with vascular conditions
• Unit orientation is 24 hours, with hospital orientation occurring during the first week and daily class attendance required
• Scrub colors permitted are blue, grey, and black
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position due to the travel experience requirement
• Former Novant Health or New Hanover employees (PERM/PRN/EP) must wait 12 months before applying and must disclose prior employment details for facility approval
• Current travel per diem clinicians must choose between travel or per diem status and cannot hold both
• Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a lower rate
• Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility as needed
• Travel pairs are allowed if placed on different units and disclosed at submission
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved excluding holidays, with no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
• Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Pre-start modules are required and must be completed prior to start and annually thereafter
