Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of L&D experience, a CA RN license, and Advanced AWHONN certification.
Details
- ,Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care, Magnet-designated hospital
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating between like units required
- Block scheduling accommodations available at manager's discretion
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Scrubs of any color accepted; L&D and OR scrubs provided
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required in hand at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Advanced AWHONN
- LA City Fire Card required within the last 30 days
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skilled in Labor and Delivery management and circulating for C-sections
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive nursing care within the Labor and Delivery unit, including circulating for C-sections
- Free parking available onsite
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Facility may cancel one shift per two-week pay period
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state health system as needed
