Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist requiring ARRT (M) certification and California Mammographic Radiologic Technologist licensure for a 13-week outpatient and hospital-based assignment.

Details

• Outpatient and hospital-based mammography setting
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM depending on location
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Floating required between two locations, alternating one week at the hospital and one week at the outpatient facility
• Some General X-ray and DXA duties may be required if already trained
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Uses GE mammography equipment

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of mammography specialty experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ARRT (M) certification required
• California Mammographic Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with 3-D Mammography, Diagnostic Mammograms, Digital Mammography, Fine Needle Aspirations, Needle Localizations, Screening Mammograms, and Stereotactic Biopsy required
• Knowledge of Digital Quality Assurance Procedures, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Radiation Safety, and Universal Precautions/Core Measures required

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and screening mammography procedures including 3-D mammography, fine needle aspirations, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsies
• Follow digital quality assurance and radiation safety protocols
• Expect to work some holidays
• Requests for time off must be submitted with initial application and will not be approved within 2 weeks of assignment start or after contract signing
• Returning travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 6 months
