Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Level II-III NICU position requiring NRP certification and a compact or TX RN license.
Details
- Work in a 41-bed NICU within the Women's Services department of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment
- Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, and rarely 1:4
- Uses HFOV, central lines, conventional vents, CPAP, and NIPPV equipment
- Provides ostomy care for neonatal patients
- EMR systems used include CPN and Meditech
- 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating to the Nursery unit required
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced 9th Edition
- Minimum 1 year of recent NICU experience required
- Level II-III NICU experience required
- Level III-IV NICU experience preferred
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Care for neonatal patients requiring surgery (excluding head/heart procedures), respiratory support, and micro-preemie care
- Team includes 1 charge nurse and 9+ RNs per shift on both day and night shifts
- Ideal candidates are team-oriented with a strong collaborative mindset
- Royal blue scrub attire required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates will not be considered
