Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel position requiring intermediate fetal monitoring, ACLS, NRP, and O.R. Circulator experience.
Details
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital, located on the 2nd floor with 10 LDRs and 2 OB-ED beds
- Unit staffed by 24 bedside RNs, with a day shift core team of 3 RNs, 1 scrub tech, and 1 unit secretary
- Patient ratios of 2:1, with high-risk patients at 1:1 or 2:1 if stable
- EMR systems used include CPN (Centricity) and Meditech
- Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- 13-week assignment with Tuesday start dates
- 4 weekend shifts required per month
- Floating may be required to postpartum or medical floor units (tech capacity only)
- Typical procedures performed include cesarean sections and BTLs/salpingectomies
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- Current certifications required: Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, NRP, and BLS
- O.R. Circulator experience required
- C-EFM certification preferred but not required
- Bilingual and scrub tech skills preferred
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
- One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a busy Labor & Delivery unit supporting cesarean sections and related surgical procedures
- Scrub color/attire required is royal blue
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
- Open personality fit preferred for team culture
