Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 1+ years of experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical Combination unit of a 25-bed critical access hospital
• Care for an adult and geriatric patient population with occasional pediatric patients
• 18-bed unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Common diagnoses include COPD, pneumonia, hip fracture, AMS, falls, UTI, and abdominal pain
• Uses Meditech EHR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend requirement
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• ADN or BSN required
• Experience with IV insertion, foley catheters, pain management, and EMAR required
• Meditech experience preferred
• Must clear Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start

Additional Information

• Provide quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment
• Work under the supervision of the Director of Med/Surg and Women's Services
• Must be friendly, compassionate, and work well within a team
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable, but casual wear is not permitted
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates within 60 miles of the facility will be considered local
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
