Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/IR Technologist for a dual Cath/IR role requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT/WA Rad Tech licensure.

Details

• Dual Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology role in a Magnet, teaching, Level 1 Trauma facility
• Daily caseload includes coverage of 4 angio suites and 2 ORs
• 4x10 hour day shifts with variable days including weekends and variable start times
• Schedules posted in advance monthly on the 15th
• 4-5 call shifts required per month
• Some weeks may require covering 8 or 10 hour shifts
• Candidates float within scope to meet facility needs
• Charting completed in Epic
• Facility provides scrubs
• Special procedures include neuro interventions (stroke, coils, AVMs, diagnostic cerebrals), cardiac STEMI and PCI, vascular run-offs, TEVAR/EVAR, and body procedures including CVC, drains, and embolizations

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• ARRT and WA State Rad Tech License required (license required if applicable)
• BLS required; ACLS and ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP and Impella placement
• Skilled in vascular studies including angioplasty, carotid stenting, dialysis graft interventions, and endovascular interventions
• Experience with neurological procedures such as carotid angiography, embolization, stent placement, and thrombectomy
• Genitourinary procedure experience including nephrostomy, biliary drainage, and stent placements preferred
• Experience with equipment set up, sterile field maintenance, and scrubbing procedures
• Familiarity with Philips and Siemens equipment; ultrasound skills preferred
• Pending WA state license accepted

• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius restriction
• RTO limited to no more than 6 days and cannot be scheduled during the first 2 weeks of assignment
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2-week pay period
• Prior UW staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a travel clinician
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• Responsibilities include prepping access sites, circulating in procedure rooms, scrubbing in to maintain sterile fields, and setting up equipment
• Works within a fast-paced interventional radiology and cardiac cath lab environment supporting complex neuro, cardiac, vascular, and body procedures
