Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for a GI Lab position requiring an active VA or compact license and at least 2 years of GI/Endoscopy experience.
Details
- Work in the GI Lab of a hospital setting
- Patient ratios of 1:1 pre-op, 1:1 post-op, and 1:3 general
- Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- On-call responsibilities may apply for certain areas with a requirement to be within 30 miles or 30 minutes of the facility
- Floating required in rotation with staff according to facility policy and Joint Commission standards
Requirements
- Active RN license (VA or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Prior charge nurse experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- IV start skills required
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care in a GI Lab setting including pre-op and post-op patient management
- Facility is a smoke and nicotine free environment
- Previous VHC staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler
- RTO requests should be minimal and included at time of consideration, with approval at manager discretion
- Candidates should expect to work some holidays
- Up to 7 hours of non-billable orientation modules required, completed during onboarding
- COVID-19 full vaccination or qualified exemption required
- Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless a qualified exemption is granted
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on qualifications
